I do this all the time: perform humiliating action, immediately handle it the wrong way, brood over my own idiocy.</p> <p>This time I kissed somebody I wasn’t supposed to. And I was drunk, so I can’t even remember the details of how it happened or what was said and now I don’t even have details over which to brood. I’m just stuck with the general contempt towards myself which manifests as nausea and twisting in my stomach.</p> <p>I was focused on that pretty much the entire duration of my staff meeting today, and at one point my boss actually asked if I was ok; I hadn’t realized it, but I had been grimacing to myself. Oh joy. I just told him I wasn’t feeling well but I’d be fine.
